Here are the Prayers of the People from Sunday, June 29, 2025 at Mayfair Heights United Methodist Church.

    Prayers Of The People

Gracious God, thank you for your Spirit which frees us to love all your people as they work and serve in this world.

God of love, Hear our prayer.

We pray for all people who do not feel free and find themselves enslaved in darkness and sadness.

God of love, Hear our prayer.

We pray for those who are  experiencing cruelty around the world. May we help create a place of rest and renewal.

God of love, Hear our prayer.

We pray for those who are hungry, impoverished, for those who do not have stable housing

God of love, Hear our prayer.

We pray for leaders of cities, states, nations, that they may work toward the common good, that they may always look out for those who are underserved, ignored, or are in harm’s way.

God of love, Hear our prayer.

We pray that we may be filled with the fruit of your Spirit so that we may share your love and peace with the world.

God of love, Hear our prayer.

We pray for our family and friends.  Teach us to help each other just as you love and help us.

God of love, Hear our prayer.

We pray for all who are experiencing illness, that they may be healed  –  and for those who are nearing the end of their life’s journey, that they may find peace in your love.

God of love, Hear our prayer.

We give ourselves into your hands, O God.  Guide us as we serve others in this, your Beloved community.

God of love, Hear our prayer.  Amen.

Peace Be With You. – Paul

Here are the Prayers Of the People from Mayfair Heights United Methodist Church – Sunday, June 22, 2025

    Prayers Of The People

Gracious God, may your Spirit give strength to all your people as they work and serve in this world. Bring us together in your love, and help us to love others.

God of love, Hear our prayer.

We pray for all people who are in places of violence, hunger, and war.

God of love, Hear our prayer.

We pray for leaders of cities, states, nations, that they may work toward the common good, that they may always look out for those who are underserved and ignored.

God of love, Hear our prayer.

We pray for those who are ill, who find it difficult to find care, who depend upon others.

God of love, Hear our prayer.

We pray for our family and friends.  Teach us to help each other just as you love and help us.

God of love, Hear our prayer.

We pray for all who are nearing death, that they may find peace in your love.  We pray for families and friends as they let loved ones go.

God of love, Hear our prayer.

We pray for those who are hungry, impoverished, for those who work multiple jobs and are always tired.

God of love, Hear our prayer.

We pray for those who are parents, who find themselves tugged in many directions, who are sleep deprived, and who worry about their children.

God of love, Hear our prayer.

We give ourselves into your hands, O God.  Guide us as we serve others in this community. And may we experience your love and peace.

God of love, Hear our prayer.  Amen.

Peace Be With You. – Paul

    From thetinyjoyproject:

You don’t have to do anything huge today.

    Just notice something good.

The sound of your coffee filling the mug.

The way your shoulders relax when you exhale.

    That’s enough.

    That’s life.

Peace Be With You. – Paul

    From poet john roedel:

    when the world

    goes mad

    become wildly kind

    to everyone

    Everyone

    everyone

    everyone

    my love,

    ~ you can’t control

    much

    but you control how

    you treat others

    in these breaking news

    heartbreaking times

    when nothing feels

    certain

    let your raw kindness

    be a certainty

    allow your compassion

    to become a North Star

    stamped up in

    the sky for

    others to follow

    back home

    — WORD FOR THE DAY —Let the laughter come, even if it has not been heard for a very long time, especially if times are hard and the future uncertain. Laughter is as important in adversity as wisdom and courage.STEVEN CHARLESTON
