Prayers Of The People

When we are weary, O God, be in our hearts and in our minds;

When we are hurting, renew our strength;

When we are overwhelmed with our concerns;

O God, teach us.

Teach us to set ourselves aside for a bit

So that we may think of others.  

God, in your love, 

Hear our prayers.

God of uncertainty, frailty, and time, 

We lift all our concerns – 

For family, friends, neighbors, community, state, nation.

We ask for your love to be evident in the treatment of others.

God, in your love, 

Hear our prayers.

May the strength of your spirit flow into hearts and lives,

And may your deep passion for justice and equality

Flow into our thinking and into our behaviors.

God, in your love, 

Hear our prayers.

May your hope, your peace, pass into all our lives.

May our hearts and spirits overflow with love for others,

And our words filled with genuine compassion.

God, in your love, 

Hear our prayers.

Teach us this day to love with all your love.

Teach us this day to walk with all your people.

Teach us.

God, in your love,
